Heritage Homeschool Group

of the Berkshires

Our mission is for Christian families to connect, plan events, share resources and support each other in Berkshire County. Our usual meeting place is at First Baptist Church in Cheshire. We have about 25 families with over 70 children from various churches, adhering to the MassHope statement of faith.

We offer two sessions of co-op classes twice a month:
From September through December and then February through May.
Each session has a 9:00 to 10:30 and 11:00 to 12:30 class for all ages from preschool through high school. The classes vary from year to year.

Some of our previous classes have included: Gym, Music and Art Around the World, Backyard Ballistics, Sign Language, Map Navigation, Speech, Marine Biology, News Analysis, Fun with our Senses, and Rainforest.

There is a small fee to join with each class having a fee for supplies.

We also have a music teacher that teaches choir once a month for all ages performing Christmas and spring concerts.

We have a music teacher that offers individual piano and violin lessons two days a week.

We have a lending library of homeschool curriculum, books and other materials that can be borrowed for up to a year at a time.

At different times parents have set up other classes, field trips, activities and play dates.
